What your 13 characters mean
Every India Post tracking number follows one international pattern: 2 letters, 9 digits, 2 letters. The last two letters are the country of booking, so IN means India.

The ninth digit is a check digit, calculated from the other eight. That's how a single wrong digit gets caught before you track.

How long will it take?
It depends on distance and route. As a rough guide, items within the same city often arrive in 1–2 working days. Metro to metro usually takes 2–4 days, and remote or hilly areas can take a week or more. Sundays and holidays don't count.

Do I need a captcha to track here?

How many digits is a Speed Post tracking number?
13 characters: 2 letters, 9 digits and 2 letters, e.g. EE123456785IN. Shorter or longer means a character is missing or extra.
Can I track Speed Post without a tracking number, or by mobile number?
Online tracking needs the tracking number. Check the booking SMS or ask the sender. The booking post office can find it from the date, sender and address.
It shows "no scans yet". Is my parcel lost?
Almost never. New bookings can take until the next working day to appear. Nothing after 2 working days? Ask the booking office, with your receipt.
It says delivered, but I didn't get it.
Ask family, neighbours and security first, then visit your delivery post office within a few days. If that doesn't solve it, use the complaint letter writer.
