No. 10 — Pincode search
Pincode & post office finder
Enter a 6-digit pincode to see every post office under it, or type an area or post office name to find its pincode. The delivery column shows whether that office actually delivers mail, which matters when you write an address.

- The first digit is the postal region, the first two are the circle, and the first three are the sorting district. Get those wrong and the item goes to the wrong city.
- Many areas share one pincode, so always add the locality or post office name too.
- If an office is marked non-delivery, mail for that area is delivered by a nearby delivery office with the same pincode.
- The 6-digit PIN system was introduced in 1972. For a precise spot, India Post now also has DIGIPIN. Get yours.
